Job Summary:

As an Intermediate Designer / Art Director you will be joining our existing design team, and working with our Creative Director. You will be expected to bring with you a great attitude, a passion for the interactive space, and enthusiasm to take on new challenges. You will be involved in many types of projects and will often lead them yourself. As a result, you will be involved at every stage of the project life cycle: from conceptualization to planning, presenting, creating, and delivering final designs. Since we work on so many different platforms and technologies, you will be expected to understand (from a design perspective) new platforms, UI requirements, and other design constraints to create a compelling user experience, regardless of the screen-size, platform, or project.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with other designers and members of the UX and interactive development team to create world-class experiences
  • Follow creative/art direction and establish design patterns and extensions
  • Capable of working on multiple projects with various project leads and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail
  • Visualize, design and conceptualize user experiences
  • Listen, digest and resolve feedback with a creative solution and positive attitude
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are implemented correctly
  • A team player who can work independently but communicates

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in digital design - delivering web applications, websites or mobile application based creative content (brand and/or agency experience required)
  • Experience in ASP .Net, and Microsoft SQL Server
  • A strong portfolio including brand experience, demonstrating a strong aptitude for design, understanding of usability, and creative talent
  • A strong understanding of IA, UI, and an appreciation for great UX
  • Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator
  • A good communicator and presenter (must be proficient in English)
  • A great working knowledge of interactivity and the Web
  • Comfortable on a PC or MAC
  • Self-motivated, organized and accountable

Desirable/Ideal Skills:

  • Experience designing for mobile, tablet and other new media devices
  • A knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP and / or other technologies, and related tool-sets
  • Previous web or software development experience
  • Print and / or video design experience
