Job Summary:
As a Front-End/HTML5 Developer, you’ll be working with passionate, roll-up-your-sleeves, talented people to develop innovative client-facing solutions. Each experience we create, from web to mobile to connected TV, demands a superior design and usability experience. Beyond the obvious characteristics, detail-oriented and extraordinarily passionate about problem-solving, we are looking for a developer who is a hands-on, natural leader and will push to improve a project. We work on some of the most pristine, high-end projects for some of the most well-known brands in Canada and US, such as Microsoft, Google, RIM, Bell Media and Rogers and CIBC. Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop HTML/HTML5 web and mobile applications
- Utilize third party development tools for an enticing user experience
- Work with business users to gather requirements, as well as write functional and technical specifications
Requirements:
- Experience in hand-coding XHTML pages
- Extensive knowledge of CSS
- JavaScript library such as jQuery, Prototype, Dojo or similar
- Experience using HTML5 and CSS3
- Ability to develop compelling user experiences
- Web Services such as REST, JSON, SOAP
- Several years of commercial development experience
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
Desirable/Ideal Skills:
- Experience with HTML5 development across mobile platforms
- iOS/Android Development
- Ruby on Rails
- RIA tools like Adobe Flash, Adobe Flex, Microsoft Silverlight, and Microsoft Expression Blend
- Understanding of Object Oriented Programming design
